Practical meal planning

Meal Prep With IC/BPS

Meal prep can reduce decisions on difficult days. The most flexible approach prepares mix-and-match components rather than locking the week into identical meals.

Choose safe-base components

Keep flavor adjustable

Build flavor with tolerated herbs, infused oils, gentle aromatics, salt as medically appropriate, and toppings added at the table. Keep acidic, spicy, or uncertain ingredients separate so one household meal can serve different tolerances.

Plan for flare days

Keep a short personal list of easy foods that meet basic nutrition needs. A flare plan should be temporary and should not become the only way you eat.

Food safety

Cool cooked food promptly, label dates, refrigerate or freeze within safe time limits, reheat thoroughly, and follow current food-safety guidance for your location and health needs.
