Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the IC Buddy™ mobile app and the icbuddy.app website (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by IC Buddy Health PBC (“IC Buddy,” “we,” “us”). By using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. What IC Buddy is, and is not

IC Buddy helps you log symptoms, foods, and flares associated with interstitial cystitis and related bladder pain conditions, and shows you patterns in your own data. The insights the app surfaces are descriptions of your own entries. They are not medical advice. Do not start, stop, or change treatment based on what the app shows you without speaking to your clinician.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use IC Buddy. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Your account

4. Your content

Everything you enter into your diary belongs to you. You grant IC Buddy the minimum permissions needed to store, back up, and display your entries back to you on your devices. We do not use your diary to train models, sell to third parties, or target advertising — see the Privacy Policy for details.

5. Acceptable use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

Responsible security research is welcome. Email icbuddy.support@gmail.com before you start.

6. Beta software

While IC Buddy is in beta, the Service is offered as-is and may contain bugs, incomplete features, or interruptions. Back up anything that matters to you using the export tool in Settings. Features, screens, and behavior described on this website may change before general release.

7. Price

IC Buddy is free during the beta. If and when we introduce paid features, we will tell you in the app and by email before they take effect, and the core diary will remain usable without paying.

8. Intellectual property

The IC Buddy name, logo, app design, illustrations, and website are owned by IC Buddy Health PBC. You may not copy them or use them in a way that suggests we endorse your project without our written permission. Your own diary content remains yours.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms or that we reasonably believe is being used to harm the Service or its users. Where reasonable, we will give you notice and a chance to correct the issue first.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, IC Buddy disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The Service is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, IC Buddy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill arising out of your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes to these terms, we will tell you in the app and by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that point means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. This does not override consumer rights you have under the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
